Our team is currently seeking a skilled individual to independently operate and maintain one or more of the following: yarn twisters, fiber stretch breaker, yarn coater. As an operator, you will work closely with operators II and III to complete various tasks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Assists on raw material set-up and thread yarn material on equipment; places material on racks
- Assists on Vacuum furnace loading and unloading.
- Continuously monitors and records process/equipment readings.
- Reports equipment or process problems.
- Records production and scrap on production log.
- Removes material after processing.
- Maintains equipment and work area clean.
Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted.
Physical Demands:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
- Occasionally required to sit; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles.
- Frequently exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals.

- While on duty, Protective Equipment provided for this position must be used.
