Lead Foreman- Commercial Construction

Fast growing general contractor is looking for a Commercial Construction Foreman / Superintendent to join their team in Los Angeles. The Superintendent will work under the direct supervision of one or more Project Managers to provide project management assistance for one or multiple projects at one time. The Foreman / Superintendent is responsible for managing crews, from both internal personnel and varying subcontractors in a manner that both maximize efficiency in the construction process and limits the cost of the project. As the main representative on the job site, the Foreman / Superintendent will also be expected to provide superior customer service to the client.

The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

• 3 years of verifiable experience simultaneously managing multiple projects in the commercial construction industry
• Ability to operate day-to-day construction hand tools such as drills, impacts, rotary hammer drills, jack hammer, grinders, Sawzall
• Must be physically able to lift up to 65lbs and perform other physical job functions such as lifting, bending, climbing
• Ability to read Blue Prints
• Demonstrate basic computer skills including understanding and experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
• Have a clean DMV record
• Have the ability to travel and work out of town
• Ability to pass a drug screening and a background check
• Present a professional image in both appearance and behavior in accordance with company policy.
• Demonstrate the ability to clearly and effectively communicate in English both verbally and in writing
• Provide superior client service
• Provide precise and constant communication with their Acting Project Manager and the company’s Project team
• Establish and maintain a safe working environment in line with safety guidelines and OSHA regulations
• Proactively manage job related issues for the projects under your supervision
• Schedule and manage sub-contractors as well as co-workers.
